NEW DELHI: Organizers of the future Automatic Expo have made the decision to limit access at India's biggest vehicle display to 100,000 guests a day to prevent a do it again of the disorder seen during the earlier events. The Automatic Expo 2012 will be a week-long event, beginning Jan 5 in Delhi's Pragati Maidan, making it a smaller display than the past version when 1.2 million guests turned up over 10 days.
The display area will be reduced to 1.15 lakh rectangle meters with 16 long lasting hallways from the 1.25 lakh sq metre propagate in 2010.
This makes the Native indian Automatic Expo the second biggest vehicle display after the Shanghai Motor Show. "There is a limit to the facilities that can provide the participants and guests," the Automatic Expo 2012 Guiding Panel Chair Rajive Kaulsaid, "So we have made the decision to limit the number to manage the display effectively."
Attendance of the common guests will be limited to 70,000 a day, arranging the rest of the spots for the 1,500 members from 24 countries and other authorities. Nearly 60 new vehicles, motorbikes, vehicles and pickups will be released at the future display, however, increasing the releases from the past version.
The features include 24 new vehicles to be revealed by household companies and eight by international players, besides eight two-wheelers by Native indian producers such as Idol MotoCorp and Bajaj Automatic. The all-new BMW Small, Maruti Ertiga MPV, Honda Ecosport, Cars Sonata and Nova UP! are among the bigticket releases that the industry is looking forward to.
The display comes at a time when the Native indian industry has bogged down considerably from its 30% yearly growth until last year. "While the feeling in the Native indian auto industry has been affected by a sequence of interest rate and petrol price increase, the feelings is high energy among all car manufacturers," said Vishnu Mathur, home common of Community of Native indian Automobile Manufacturers .
The biennial display is organized mutually by industry entrance hall groups SIAM, the Automotive Component Manufacturers Organization of Indian and the Confederation of Native indian Industry.
